Here is an update on the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams at Florence Township Memorial High School.
The Florence boys’ squad was defeated by Hamilton High School West, 63-40, on Dec. 28 during a holiday tournament in Florence.
Justin Tisdale led the Flashes with 15 points while his Florence teammate, Noel Nabors, finished with 10 points.
The Flashes played Cinnaminson High School Jan. 3 and will go up against neighboring rival Bordentown Regional High School on Jan. 5 in Florence.
The Florence girls’ basketball team defeated Penns Grove High School in Florence, 38-37, on Dec. 28 during a holiday tournament matchup.
Olivia Smith sparked the victory for Florence with 15 points. Also contributing the to the Florence victory was Toni Jones, who recorded 12 points.
The Flashes girls faced STEMCivics Purplefect Palace High School from Ewing on Jan. 3. Next up for Florence is an away game at rival Bordentown on Jan. 5.
