New electrical towers in Edison are a ‘blight’ along Route 1

I am sure that the new electrical towers going up along Route 1 in Edison are an important addition to infrastructure. The older towers, still standing beside the new structures, are lacy in appearance and pleasing to the eye. The new towers look like they were designed by Sauron and forged in Mordor by cranky orcs. Surely a little effort could have gone into designing a structure that was not a blight on the landscape.
