Jillian Knox of Marlboro was recently inducted into the Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn., chapter of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society. To qualify for induction, students must have a grade point average of at least 3.0 and a grade point average of at least 3.25 in their communications classes.
Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C., named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester: Kyle Cannon of Freehold, Alexis Cullen of Marlboro, Jennifer Gregg of Morganville, Brendan Hunt of Freehold, Annabella Lo Scrudato of Freehold, Amanda Martin of Manalapan, Philip Moracci of Freehold, Robert Schandall of Freehold and Jason Skibinski of Freehold.
Daphne Lombardi of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester at Misericordia University, Dallas, Pa.
John Liotti of Freehold has graduated from Western New England University, Springfield, Mass., with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication-journalism.
Andrew DePass of Freehold, a sophomore biology major at Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn., recently received an award for his cancer biology presentation at the annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students in Indianapolis, Ind. Andrew conducted research on mice last summer to learn about T-cell immunity in cancer patients after they undergo chemotherapy and radiation. He presented his research in the conference’s “Cancer Biology” category. Andrew’s winning entry was among submissions from 2,100 students representing colleges and universities across the country.
Bianca Serrapica of Manalapan, a respiratory care major at West Chester University, West Chester, Pa., has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall session. Brian is in his junior year.
York College of Pennsylvania, York, Pa., has named the following residents of Freehold to the dean’s list: Amy McGee, a freshman criminal justice major, and Alexa Scranton, a freshman music production and entrepreneurship major.
Trevor Covey of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list at Lebanon Valley College, Annville, Pa., for the 2018 fall semester. Trevor is pursuing a bachelor of science in business administration.
