Wreaths Across America successful in North Brunswick

I would like to take this opportunity to thank this community for its support of our Wreaths Across America ceremony on Dec. 15. Thanks to your incredible generosity, our program was able to place wreaths at the grave sites of each World War I veteran buried at Elmwood Cemetery in North Brunswick. In addition, we were fortunate enough to have many of you come and volunteer your time on a rainy December morning to help get all of the wreaths placed.

Thank you to the organizations and individuals who took the time to thank and remember our veterans. In the words of Pierre Claeyssens, “To be killed in war is not the worst that can happen. To be lost is not the worst … the worst is to be forgotten.”

I am so grateful to be part of a community that does not forget the service and sacrifices made by our military men and women.
