Bordentown defeats rival Florence in girls’ basketball

The Bordentown Regional High School girls’ basketball team got the best of its neighboring rival when the Scotties scored a 42-31 victory over Florence Township Memorial High School on Jan. 5 in Bordentown.

The Scotties were guided past Florence by Oshynn Cosom, who put 14 points, including seven free throws.

Sofia Peterson and Aja Reeves helped back Cosom’s offensive efforts with a combined 13 points scored.

Bordentown plays its next Burlington County League game on Jan. 12 when it travels to play Holy Cross Prep on Jan. 12 in Delran.

Anna Foher kept Florence in the game against Bordentown with 14 points. Her teammates,  Samantha Cartier and Sierra Barrett, combined for another nine points.

The Florence Township girls’ basketball team faced Medford Tech away on Jan. 8 and Holy Cross Prep away on Jan. 10 before the Flashes go up against Burlington City at home on Jan. 12.
