Here is an update on the boys’ basketball teams at the Toms River high schools.

TOMS RIVER HIGH SCHOOL NORTH

Toms River High School North defeated Central Regional High School, 52-50, in Toms River on Jan. 11. Senior forward Nick Dunzack recorded 25 points and eight rebounds in the victory. Senior guard Ryan Schlosser added six points, four assists and six rebounds, and junior forward Najea Hallenbeck finished with five points and 10 rebounds.

Toms River North, which took on Jackson Memorial High School on Jan. 14, will next play a rivalry home game against Toms River High School East on Jan. 17 at  6:30 p.m.

TOMS RIVER HIGH SCHOOL EAST

Toms River High School East beat Toms River High School South, 72-41, at Toms River East on Jan. 11. Junior guard Mike Goodall fired in 24 points and senior guard Josh Nicol finished with 12 points in the victory.

Toms River East, which met Central Regional High School on Jan. 14, will square off with Toms River High School North on Jan. 17 at Toms River North. The game is set for 6:30 p.m.

TOMS RIVER HIGH SCHOOL SOUTH

Toms River High School South lost to Toms River East, 72-41, at Toms River East on Jan.11. Junior guard Jalen Folsom led Toms River South with 24 points.

Toms River South, which played Brick Memorial High School on Jan. 15, will be home against Southern Regional High School on Jan. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

DONOVAN CATHOLIC HIGH SCHOOL

Donovan Catholic High School fell to Jackson Liberty High School, 77-73, in Jackson on Jan. 11. Freshman guard Amari Ayala-Petty led the Griffins with 19 points. Senior forward Braeden Kunzman and senior guard/forward Matt Melon each had 10 points apiece in the loss.

Donovan Catholic, which played Point Pleasant Borough High School on Jan. 14, is home   against Barnegat High School on Jan. 16 at  6:30 p.m.
