Friends of Cyrus opens clinic in Spotswood for children with autism

Friends of Cyrus, a New Jersey-based organization for children and adults with autism and developmental disabilities, held its official open house for its inaugural Children’s ABA Clinic on Jan. 12.

The children’s clinic for ages 18 months to 5 years old offers residents of central New Jersey individualized Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services supervised by board-certified behavior analysts. Programming includes increasing play skills, social skills, motor skills, daily living and pre-academic skills.

Friends of Cyrus co-founder Kamelia Kameli has a 27-year-old son Cyrus who was diagnosed with autism at an early age. Fellow co-founder is Daren Singhani.

Five years after opening its doors, Friends of Cyrus operates 10 adult group homes and supports more than 200 children and adults throughout New Jersey through a combination of community residences, a day habilitation program, adult in-home services, children’s intensive in home ABA services and clinic-based ABA therapy.

The clinic is located within Immaculate Conception School, 23 Manalapan Road, Spotswood.
