General ESL classes will be held at the Central Branch of the Old Bridge Library from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday evenings beginning on Feb. 5, and from 10-11:30 a.m. Wednesday mornings beginning on Feb. 6.

Both classes are available to Old Bridge residents only, and generally end in mid-May.

Classes are free and are taught in small groups by trained volunteers.

The library hosts a potluck meal on the last day of class, where all students and tutors are encouraged to bring a dish representative of their country of origin, and eligible students receive a Certificate of Achievement.

In addition, the Library has partnered with Literacy NJ to provide ESL classes at the Laurence Harbor branch from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.  from Saturday, Feb. 2 to June 22. Students will practice speaking, reading and writing in English.

A children’s craft will be offered during class time.
