Police investigate Girl Scout cookie theft at Woodbridge Center Mall

WOODBRIDGE – Police are investigating a theft from a Girl Scout cookie sales table set up at the Woodbridge Center Mall in the Boscov’s wing near Chick-fil-A.

The incident occurred sometime between 4:20 p.m. and 4:50 p.m. on Jan. 18. The person who reported the theft said she placed the profits from the cookie sales – approximately $500 cash and several checks – in an envelope, according to Police Capt. Scott Kuzma.

“She placed the envelope on the table, left it unattended, and later realized it was missing,” he said.

Kuzma said the detective bureau is investigating the incident.
