Residents step up to serve Allentown

ALLENTOWN – The reorganization of Allentown’s governing body for 2019 saw numerous residents appointed to various positions in the borough.

Named to the Environmental Commission were Patricia Brown, Dan Payson and Nancy Tindall (chairwoman). Joe Sensi was appointed to the Board of Recreation Commissioners.

Appointed to the Planning Board were Jennifer Elder Brady, George Fallat, Lynne Meara, Neil Linzmayer, Robert Mayer and Allison Arnone.

Arnone, Wil Borkowski, Terry Brown, Janice Buchalski, Councilman Thomas Fritts, Eileen Kuzma, Jan Meerwarth and Suzanne Smith were selected for the Sgt. George Ashby Memorial Park Committee.

Borkowski, Diana Bamford, Pat Brown, Richard Carter, Jamie Egan, Julie Reid, Elaine Saullo, Nancy Tindall and Kurt Wayton were appointed to the Traffic Committee.

Named to the Shade Tree Commission were Terry Brown, Robert Mayer and Lisa Strovinsky. Mayor Greg Westfall will serve as Allentown’s emergency management official.

Appointed to the Upper Freehold-Allentown Municipal Alliance were Erica DeKranes Torsielli, Kimberley Fisher, Richard Mazur and Bob O’Hare.

Ed Havens was named to the Economic Development Commission. John Bauer was appointed to the Historic Preservation Review Commission.

Municipal officials appointed Pat Brown, Terry Brown, Nancy Conine, James Ford, Jan Meerwarth, Martha Ploshay and Nancy Tindall to the Historic Streetscape Phase II Committee.
