South Amboy Elks schedule special events beginning Feb. 3

The South Amboy Elks will hold a series of events over the next two months.

A pancake breakfast will be held from 9 a.m. to noon on Feb. 3 at the lodge, 601 Washington Ave., South Amboy.

Buffet includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, potatoes, sweets, breads, coffee, tea and juice.

The cost is $9 per person or $5 for children age 7 and under.

A roast pork loin dinner will be held from 5:30-7:30 p.m. on Feb. 8.

Menu include pork, mashed potatoes, vegetables, tossed salad, dessert, coffee and tea. Cash bar available.

Cost is $12 per adult or $7 per child.

A Howley Game Night will be held on Feb. 16. Doors open at 7 p.m. First race is at 7:30 p.m.

Bring your own snacks. Light food will be served mid-way.

Entry fee is $7.

A dinner in honor of veterans will be held fro 5-8 p.m. Feb. 24.

Special guest from the New Jersey State Veterans Memorial Home in Menlo Park will be in attendance.

Menu includes stuffed chicken breast, mashed potatoes, vegetable, cranberry sauce, dessert, coffee and tea.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 at the door.

A Mardi Gras party will be held at 6 p.m. March 2.

Admission includes live music by The Noisy Neighbors Band, New Orleans food and spirits, and drink specials. Must be 21 or older to attend. Cost is $25 per person.
