South Brunswick historian to lead bus tour through town

Ceil Leedom, South Brunswick historian, will lead a bus tour including the Indian trails, Wetherill, the area where the great Mastodon of 10,000 BC walked, a one-room schoolhouse still in use, a farm where George Washington switched horses on the way to the Battle of Monmouth, cemeteries, and other local historical sites during “South Brunswick Then & Now” on March 19.

Will require walking and getting on and off the bus frequently.

Lunch is own your own at the historic Whitlock Inn, now called La Taverna.

Cost is $5, refundable as you board the bus. Limited seating available.

The bus will leave at 9:15 a.m. from Woodlot Park, 124 New Road, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.
