Sayreville to recognize Black History Month

The artwork depicting the 10 years of civil war in Sierra Leone as well as 13 prints of noted African and African-American luminaries are being exhibited in Richmond Garrick's first solo show called "Noble Expressions" at Middlesex County College celebrating Black History Month in February.

The Sayreville Human Relations Commission will hold a free community event in honor of Black History Month at 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 in the council chambers of Borough Hall, 167 Main St., 3rd floor, Sayreville.

Guest speaker will be Middlesex County Sheriff Mildred Scott.

Light refreshments will be served.
