The Ranney School gained revenge, and with it, signaled itself as a prime contender to win the state Tournament of Champions title in boys’ basketball this winter.

In a game between two of the finest teams in the state and one that featured a slew of Division 1 recruits, Bryan Antoine, who is headed to Villanova, scored 25 points to guide Ranney School past Roselle Catholic High School, 61-49, on a frigid evening of Jan. 30 at Brookdale Community College in Lincroft.

The victory avenged Ranney School’s loss this past season when the Tinton Falls school fell to Roselle Catholic, 63-61, in the Non-Public B state championship game.
