SOUTH BRUNSWICK – A senior from South Brunswick High School has won the 2019 Middlesex County American Legion Oratorical Contest.
The finals were held on Jan. 26 at American Legion Post 211 in Sayreville. Each of the four contestants delivered a prepared oration about some phase of the Constitution of the United States, as well as an oration on a randomly assigned constitutional topic.
Madison Ianniello, sponsored by American Legion Post 401 of South Brunswick, was set to compete in the regional contest on Feb. 2 at the Woodbridge Municipal Building. The results were not known as press time.
Madison plans to study political science and international affairs in college.
