Learn history of the violin, restoration projects, at Old Bridge Library

The Old Bridge Library, in conjunction with the Collegium Musicum Education program, will welcome violin master and restorer Jarek Powichrowski for “The History of the Violin” at 2 p.m. on Feb. 17 at the library, 1 Old Bridge Plaza, corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road, Old Bridge.

Powichrowski, who is the founder and owner of Princeton Violins, will present a lecture about the rich history of the instrument, and will be joined by renowned violinist Alexei Yavtuhovich, an Old Bridge resident, for a performance of pieces by Bach, Mozart, Paganini and others.

Attendees are asked to bring a non-perishable, unexpired food donation for the Old Bridge Food Pantry to this free event.
