The University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala., has named area residents to the dean’s list (GPA of 3.5 or above) and the president’s list (GPA of 4.0) for the 2018 fall semester: Courtney Sager of Colts Neck, dean’s list; Nino Gagliano of Freehold, dean’s list; Paige Risley of Freehold, president’S list; and Claire Studer of Freehold, dean’s list.

Scott Bayer, son of Don and Marci Bayer of Morganville, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester at the University of Maryland Business School, College Park, Md. Scott is majoring in finance and is a 2018 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Jared Bayer, son of Don and Marci Bayer of Morganville, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester at the University of Delaware, Newark, Del. Jared, a senior majoring in fine art, is a 2015 graduate of Marlboro High School.

Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., has named Joshua Rosenberg of Freehold, to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester. Joshua is majoring in computer science. He is a member of the University Honors Program, which offers high caliber students the chance to further hone their studies and interests, live in special interest on-campus housing, and participate in one or two honors courses each term.

Northeastern University, Boston, Mass., has named Michaela Boneva of Manalapan to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester. Michael is majoring in English. He is a member of the University Honors Program, which offers high caliber students the chance to further hone their studies and interests, live in special interest on-campus housing, and participate in one or two honors courses each term.

Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa., announced that Alex Glickman of Marlboro, Xin Han of Morganville, Samantha Ryan of Morganville and Nicole Weber of Morganville graduated in fall 2018.

Saige Kratenstein of Manalapan has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester at the University of Maryland, College Park, Md.

Colleen McPolin of Marlboro has been named to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester at Syracuse University, Syracuse, N.Y. Colleen is a freshman and has been admitted to the
university’s Renee Crown Honors Program. She is enrolled in the Newhouse School of Public Communications, majoring in advertising and minoring in policy studies. Colleen is a 2018 graduate of Marlboro High School. She entered Syracuse with 29 Advanced Placement credits earned in high school.

The following area residents received degrees from the University of New Haven, West Haven, Conn., at commencement ceremonies in December: from Freehold – Madison Davis, Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences, Bachelor of Science in forensic science; and from Manalapan – Lauren Homer, College of Arts and Sciences, Undergraduate Certificate in paralegal studies, and Henry C. Lee College of Criminal Justice and Forensic Sciences, Bachelor of Science in criminal justice with a concentration in forensic psychology.

Clemson University, Clemson, S.C., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2018 fall semester: Alexander William Geissler of Colts Neck, majoring in pre-business, Louisa Marie Guminski of Colts Neck, majoring in psychology, Laura Tashian of Freehold, majoring in psychology, Alexandra Hope Cavanaugh of Manalapan, majoring in criminal justice, Madelyn Sarah Grumet of Marlboro, majoring in communication, and Samantha P. Schutte of Morganville, majoring in financial management.

Clemson University, Clemson, S.C., has named the following area residents to the president’s list (4.0 GPA) for the 2018 fall semester: Charlotte S. Haaf of Colts Neck, majoring in computer science, Anthony Santucci-Curci of Freehold, majoring in visual arts, Paul Edward Tashian of Freehold, majoring in mechanical engineering, Halle M. Freedman of Manalapan, majoring in psychology, Alexandra Pamela Popovchak of Manalapan, majoring in secondary education, and Jason T. Stango of Manalapan, majoring in marketing.

Oklahoma City University, Oklahoma City, Ok., announced that Isma Kielty of Freehold has been named to the fall 2018 dean’s honor roll.

Springfield College, Springfield, Mass., has named Nina McMerty of Freehold to the dean’s list for academic excellence for the fall 2018 term. Nina is studying health science/occupational therapy.

Dylan Scillia of Marlboro has been named to the dean’s list at Susquehanna University, Selinsgrove, Pa., for the fall 2018 semester. Dylan, a secondary education major, is a 2015 graduate of Colts Neck High School and is the son of Charles Scillia and JoAnn Mcavoy.

Vanessa Forte of Freehold has earned dean’s list honors for the fall 2018 semester at Mount St. Mary’s University, Emmitsburg, Md. Vanessa is the daughter of Marianne Forte.

Nino Gagliano of Freehold received a Bachelor of Science in commerce business administration from the University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa, Ala., during fall 2018 commencement exercises.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., named the following area residents to the president’s list (GPA of 3.9 and above) for the fall 2018 session: Mackenzie Gallon of Manalapan and Amy Musselman of Freehold.

Caitlin MacCutcheon of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 semester at the State University of New York, New Paltz, N.Y.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg, Va., announced that the following area residents have been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2018 session: Victor Della Bella of Manalapan, Payton Mahoney of Marlboro, Jessica Martin of Manalapan and Rachel Srolovitz of Manalapan.

The University of Hartford, West Hartford, Conn., has named Perry Rocco of Colts Neck and Julie Wallerstein of Manalapan to the dean’s list for fall 2018.

Janelle Hart of Freehold has been named to the dean’s list at Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, for the 2018 fall semester. Janelle is majoring in English: Creative Writing, Media and Culture.

Johnathan Goldstein of Colts Neck received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and creative writing from the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, at the close of the fall 2018 semester.

Mitchell Tamashunas of Morganville has been named to the dean’s list at the University of Iowa, Iowa City, Iowa, for the fall 2018 semester.

Evan Hymanson of Morganville has been named to the deans’ list/Explore Center List of Distinguished Students at the University of Nebraska, Lincoln, Neb., for the fall semester of the 2018-19 academic year. Evan, a junior mechanical engineering major, was named to the dean’s list for the College of Engineering.

Sydney Schoenholtz of Morganville, a design and merchandising major at the Drexel University, Philadelphia, Pa., Antoinette Westphal College of Media Arts and Design, has earned dean’s list honors during the 2018 fall semester. Sydney is the daughter of Karen and Eric Schoenholtz and is a 2018 graduate of Marlboro High School.
