SPOTSWOOD–Teaming up with Vicks to participate in the Coats for Our Neighbors coat drive, ShopRite of Spotswood collected nearly 100 overcoats for people in need.

All coats and $10,000 will be donated to One Warm Coat, a national non-profit that works to provide free, warm coats to people in need, according to a prepared statement from ShopRite.

The coat drive lasted one month at select ShopRite stores, according to Alexis Paul, a public relations representative for ShopRite. ShopRite of Spotswood collected nearly 100 coats from residents on Jan. 13 at the store, located at 380 Summerhill Rd, according to Paul.

Paul said that a branded mobile van was set up outside of the store to collect donations.

“We’re proud to support the Vicks Coats for Our Neighbors initiative at the ShopRite of Spotswood. Partnerships like this reflect ShopRite’s commitment to supporting our communities. Everyone deserves to be warm, and we thank our generous customers for helping those in need,” said Frank Juba, store manager of ShopRite of Spotswood.
