Free diabetes self-management workshop series offered in Milltown

Quality Insights is collaborating with Middlesex County Office of Health Services to provide a free diabetes workshop as part of the national Everyone with Diabetes Counts (EDC) program.

Any person with Medicare living with diabetes can join a free and interactive workshop series from 1-3:30 p.m. Fridays, March 15 to April 19, at the Milltown Senior Center, 60 Violet Terrace, Milltown.

Learn about diabetes and its risks, preventing complications, healthy eating, exercise, medication management, dealing with stress and depression and more. Graduates from this program have lost weight, improved eating habits, started walking, and reduced blood sugar levels.

 

Complimentary healthy snacks, literature and resources will be provided.

The workshop is open to the public and all attendees must register by the second session. To register, call Debbie Cuddy at 732-296-0681.
