EAST BRUNSWICK–The Township Council approved a resolution awarding Orchard Holdings LLC a contract to perform intersection improvements.
The council approved the resolution on Feb. 25, advertising for the submission of bids for intersection improvements at Hardenburg Lane and Dunhams Corner Road.
The following four bids were received on Feb. 6:
Contractor Orchard Holdings LLC of Manasquan, total bid $318,837.25; Z Brothers Concrete Contractors Inc. of Sayreville, total bid $333,285.52; HBC Co. Inc. of Lodi, total bid $339,819; and Black Rock Enterprises LLC of Old Bridge, total bid $377,793.75, according to the council agenda.
“The project entails traffic signal upgrades, ADA compliant pedestrian access and paving modifications,” Business Administrator Joseph Criscuolo said.
The available funds have been made in the 2019 budget to approve this resolution, according to the council agenda.
Criscuolo said construction will begin in the spring.
