News Transcript On Campus, March 13

Daniel Gaines of Colts Neck, a member of the Muhlenberg College, Allentown, Pa., basketball team, participated in Dream to Read, a Martin Luther King Day of Service event that pairs the college’s athletes with local students. The Muhlenberg students meet with children, read books that explore issues of equity and diversity, participate in a discussion of the books’ themes and messages, and get to know some of their younger neighbors.

New York Institute of Technology, Old Westbury, N.Y., announced that the following area residents received degrees during the fall 2018 semester: Daniel Meshoyrer of Marlboro received a DO in Medicine and Aakash Patel of Freehold received an MBA in Management.

Victoria R. Morris of Morganville has been named to the dean’s list at Western New England University, Springfield, Mass., for the 2018 fall semester. Victoria is working toward a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice/criminal investigation concentration.

Jessica Kaplan of Marlboro, a member of the Colgate University, Hamilton, N.Y., Class of 2022, has earned the fall 2018 dean’s award with distinction. Jessica is a graduate of Colts Neck High School. She is majoring in economics.

Elizabethtown College, Elizabethtown, Pa., has named the following area residents to the fall 2018 dean’s list: Rebecca Li of Freehold and Colleen McGovern of Manalapan.

Matt Willis of Freehold Township was named to the president’s list for the 2018 fall term at Rollins College, Winter Park, Fla. Matt is the son of Jackie and Mark Willis and is a 2018 graduate of Biotechnology High School, Freehold Township.

The University of Scranton, Pa., announced that the following area residents studied abroad during the Intersession 2019 semester: Paige Clarke of Freehold, a nursing major, participated in the university travel course, Healthcare Systems and Nursing Practice Abroad in Dublin, Ireland; Sara Codispoti of Freehold, an occupational therapy major, participated in the university travel course, Physical Rehabilitation in various cities, Dominican Republic; and Sydney Garofolo of Freehold, an operations and information management major, participated in the American Institute for Foreign Studies in Paris, France.
