Sayreville Public Library announces community programs

The Sayreville Public Library will offer the following programs for community members:

“RESCRIPT: The Story You’re Telling Yourself,” the latest book by Sayreville’s Dr. Colleen Georges, guides readers on a self-authorship journey using eight practices at 6:30 p.m. March 20.

A blood drive will be held from 2:30-6:30 p.m. on March 25. Walk-ins are welcome, or call 732-727-0212 to make an appointment.

New Jersey Court staff will explain the landlord/tenant court process, including how to file a claim, what happens in court, and what happens after the case is complete, at 6:30 p.m. on March 28.

New Jersey Citizen Action will present a program on identity theft and fraud prevention at 11 a.m. on April 2. Topics include phone scams, scams targeting seniors, IRS impostors and scams currently targeting New Jersey residents.

Kenneth Vercammen will present 2019 changes to federal and New Jersey Estate and Gift Taxes, as well as power of attorney, living wills, and advance directives at 6:30 p.m. on April 9.

New Jersey Citizen Action will present a program on credit and consumer rights at 6:30 p.m. on April 10. Topics will include basic consumer financial protection laws, credit types/risks/benefits and credit reports.

The library is located at 1050 Washington Road, Parlin section of Sayreville.
