Cheesequake State Park offers hiking, kayak tours

Guests make their way along one of the nature trails on hand during the Fall Forestry Festival held at the Forest Resource Education Center in Jackson on October 6. The festival featured over 40 nature themed exhibits, hikes, programs, and activities for all ages.

Cheesequake State Park will offer the following programs and activities:

Blue Trail Hike, 1 p.m. on April 7. Ages 6 and up. Gather at the Nature Center.

Mysterious Migration Hike, 1 p.m. on April 14. Witness animal migration during a one-hour hike. Agues 6 and up. Gather at the Nature center.

Kayak Eco Tours are $20 per person. Pre-registration is required, and begins on April 24. Tours are held June, July and August.

Earth Day/Arbor Day Hike, 10 a.m. on April 27. Event includes tree planting and trail cleanup hike. Bring gloves. Ages 6 and up. Meet at the Nature Center.

Seasonal hike, 1 p.m. on May 12. Ages 6 and up. Meet at Nature Center.
