Columbia Bank appoints HR Director

 

Columbia Bank is pleased to announce that Yvette
Encarnacion has been appointed to Senior Vice President, Human Resources. In her new role,
Encarnacion will direct the bank’s Human Resources initiatives in recruitment, employee
development, compensation, and employee relations.
Prior to joining Columbia,  Encarncion held several leadership positions within the financial
services industry, most recently as Senior Vice President, Head of Human Resources at Carver
Federal Savings Bank.
“Ms. Encarnacion brings over 20 years of Human Resources experience to her new role,”said Thomas J. Kemly, President and CEO of Columbia Bank.  “Her specialties include changemanagement, recruitment, leadership and management development, as well as employee engagement.”
Encarnacion holds a Master’s degree in Organizational and Counseling Psychology from
Columbia University and a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts from the City University of New
York – City College. She has taught at NYU-School of Continuing Education for the last 12
years. She has also completed graduate and certificate courses in executive coaching, diversity
management, and leadership development. She currently resides in New Jersey with her family.
