The South Brunswick Senior Center will offer the following activities for resident members age 55 and older:
- 12:30-1:15 p.m. April 1, adult CPR class
- 10:30 a.m. April 5, seniors are invited to a special viewing of the South Brunswick School District’s 15th annual Student Art Gallery. Transportation available.
- 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5, AARP Driver Safety Class. $15 for AARP members, $20 for non-members
- 12:15 p.m. April 8, Pictionary
- 12:30 p.m. April 9, spring-themed art project. All materials provided. Sign up required.
- 12:30 p.m. April 11, financial lecture on Medicaid planning with Carl Archer of Archer Law
- 10:45 a.m. April 15, monthly bereavement group
- April 15, garden opens. Deposit is $30 cash only. Register by April 1 by calling Jill at 732-329-4000, ext. 7675.
- 10 a.m. to noon April 16, free blood pressure screening
- April 18, Spring’s Popping Up Party. 11:30 a.m. picnic lunch costs $2.25. 12:15 p.m. Lou Reed entertains. Wear a spring bonnet, pastel colors or a floral shirt. Sign up by April 11.
- 11 a.m. April 23, April birthday lunch. Sign up by April 16.
- 12:15 p.m. April 25, Take Your Child to Work Day. Children of township employees will perform music, play table games and chat with seniors. Sign up by April 18.
- 12:15 p.m. April 29, Living Legacies project. South Brunswick High School students will present monologues of their favorite township residents.
- 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. April 2, 4, 9 and 11, free AARP tax preparation. Appointments required by visiting www.southbrunswicknj.gov.
The Senior Center will also sponsor trips to the Independence Seaport Museum on April 30, bus leaves Woodlot Park at 8:20 a.m.; The Raptor Trust wild bird rehabilitation center on May 29, bus leaves Woodlot Park at 8:30 a.m., cost is $5; Great Paterson Falls & Paterson Museum on June 12, bus leaves Woodlot Park at 8:15 a.m., heavy outdoor walking; the Spirit of Philadelphia lunch cruise on July 31, cost is $47 cash only, registration begins at 11 a.m. April 8 and closes May 20 or when full.
