EAST BRUNSWICK – The Chelsea at East Brunswick assisted living residence presented a check for $1,055 to the Friends of the East Brunswick Senior Center.

During the Christmas season, The Chelsea, with co-sponsors Brightstar Care and CareOne, create a Wreath Stroll at The Chelsea during which festive wreaths decorated with gift cards and other prizes donated by local businesses were displayed in the living room and auctioned off, according to information provided by The Chelsea.

Proceeds from the auction were donated to the Friends of the Senior Center and those who won the wreaths received the gift cards and other goods.

“It’s a wonderful event that benefits everyone,” Tom Kranz, director of Communications for Chelsea Senior Living, said in the statement. “We are very proud of our relationship with the Friends of the East Brunswick Senior Center, a fabulous place with wide-ranging programs for local seniors. We are also grateful to the local businesses who donated gift cards, goods and services as prizes for the wreaths. Thanks to BrightStar Care and CareOne for co-sponsoring this great event each year.”

Accepting the symbolic check on March 27 were Danielle Micale, director of the East Brunswick Department of Aging, flanked by members of the Friends of the East Brunswick Senior Center and directors of Brightstar Care and CareOne.
