Steppart was promoted to captain, Ciampa was promoted to lieutenant and Reiff was promoted to sergeant.

The promotions of Steppart, Ciampa and Reiff followed the promotion of Craig Dispenza from captain to police chief. Dispenza became Freehold Borough’s police chief on March 1.

Council President Kevin Kane and council members Sharon Shutzer, George Schnurr, Annette Jordan and Margaret Rogers confirmed the promotions. Councilman Michael DiBenedetto was absent from the March 18 meeting.
