The second annual Bark For Life of Central NJ will take place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 27 at Mannino Park, 1 Mannino Park Dr., Old Bridge.

Bark For Life is The American Cancer Society’s dog-friendly “canine companion event” which precedes the annual Relay For Life events throughout the region. The objective is to raise funds and community awareness in the fight against cancer, while simultaneously enjoying a fun day in the park with dogs and people who wish to put an end to cancer.

The day will feature entertainment, games and contests for dogs and humans alike. The initial “Bark Around the Park Lap” will be lead by the Anchor Pest Control dogs. D.J. Kevin will provide music for the walkers. Sponsors and vendors will be set up at the event. “Paw-Friendly” competitions include a Doggie Costume contest and “Bark’s Got Talent” contest.

Participants and dogs are welcome to remain afterward to enjoy the remainder of the day at Mannino Park.

Donations raised at Bark For Life of Central NJ support cancer research, patient services, disease prevention programs, clinical trials and advocacy.

The donation/registration fee is $10 per human participant plus $10 per dog.
