CentraState Healthcare Foundation will host its 43rd annual Band Aid Open “Golf
Fore Kids” event at The Ridge at Back Brook, Ringoes, on June 10. The event will
benefit CentraState Healthcare System’s enhanced pediatric services at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. The Chairman’s Sponsor for this year’s event is the Medical and Dental Staff of CentraState Medical Center and the Flight Sponsor is Liberty Anesthesia and Pain Management. World War II era Holocaust survivors will share their experiences during a presentation of the film “Witnesses” on May 2 at the Marlboro Library. The film will be shown at 1 p.m. and a panel discussion will follow at 2:45 p.m., according to a press release. “Witnesses” shares the stories of three women who, as children, survived the horrors of Nazi concentration camps. The 90-minute documentary will be followed by a panel discussion moderated by Marlboro resident Barbara Kenas. Panelists will include the film’s director and producer Steve Rogers. Dogs are invited to bring their owners to the second annual “Bark for Life of Central New Jersey” on April 27 at Mannino Park, 1 Mannino Park Drive, Old Bridge. The event will begin with a non-competitive group dog walk to remember and honor those who have battled cancer, while celebrating canine caregivers. All are welcome to participate in the event which will raise funds to support the mission of the American Cancer Society. The event will be held rain or shine; registration opens at 11 a.m., the walk begins at noon and festivities are scheduled until 3 p.m. There will be games and contests for dogs and humans.
