Brandeis University Middlesex Chapter will meet at 1 p.m. on May 20 at the East Brunswick Library, Civic Center Drive, East Brunswick. The meeting is free and open to the public.
The topic of discussion will be the brain. Barbara Bogner, retired associate professor of Biology at Middlesex County College, will explore why you get bad “vibes” from some people, why young children don’t “get” sarcasm, why babies don’t learn to talk right away, why you can really “love” chocolate, why you don’t feel the clothes on your body, how your brain makes you know when you’re full or hungry, and more.
The May social justice collection will be magazines, up to three months old, for patients at Saint Peter’s University Hospital.
For more information about Brandeis membership, call Thelma at 732-257-4833.
