The Human Motion Institute at Hackensack Meridian Health Raritan Bay Medical Center-Old Bridge will hold a free Total Joint Replacement Education session from 8-9 a.m. on May 7, 14, 21 and 28 in the Patient Education Center, 1st Floor, Medical and Surgical Pavilion, 2 Hospital Plaza, Old Bridge.

The Institute of Weight Loss will hold an “Is Weight Loss Surgery Right for Me?” seminar from 7-8 p.m. May 13 and from 7:30-8:30 p.m. May 22. The informative event will focus on weight loss surgery including discussion on Roux-En-Y Gastric Bypass, Adjustable Gastric Banding and Gastric Sleeve, and concerns surrounding weight loss surgery as well as its successes. Hackensack Meridian Health’s free “Living Beyond Limits” Mitchell Vassar Vision Awareness Day will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. May 16 at the Grand Marquis, 1550 Route 9 South, Old Bridge. Bestselling author, recording artist, and inspirational speaker Jennifer Rothschild will present her inspirational story of perseverance. The event includes lunch and a resource fair. Unwanted glasses will be collected for the Lions Club Recycle for Sight Program, benefiting visually impaired adults and children. Registration is required, call 1-800-560-9990.

The Institute of Weight Loss will hold a Bariatric Weight Loss Support Group Meeting from 6-7 p.m. May 22. For individuals who have had surgery, are contemplating weight loss surgery or trying to maintain a healthy weight.  Family and friends are welcome.
