The East Brunswick Historical Society will present a program on the Mystery of the Inscribed Rocks, dating to 1876, at 2 p.m. on May 19 at the East Brunswick Historical Society Farmhouse, 78 Milltown Road, East Brunswick.

Two young men from New Brunswick, Elias Suydam and Henry Monroe Danbury, traveled along the banks of the Lawrence Brook and Raritan River and carved a number of strange symbols, words, cyphers and cryptograms on four rocks and one tunnel.
