Run the Vineyards returns this weekend in Hopewell Valley

It is that time of year again for the annual Run the Vineyards 5K, where Hopewell Valley wine enthusiasts get to enjoy a good walk or run through Hopewell Valley Vineyards.

This will be the sixth time Hopewell Valley Vineyards has held this event, which will take place on May 26 at the vineyard located on 46 Yard Road in Pennington.

Individuals who want to participate in the race, referred to as ‘A Taste of Tuscany’, have to pay a sign up fee of $44.

Beginning at 9 a.m. those who participate will be able to walk or run through the vineyard and town of Pennington until noon, according to vineyard officials.

The race will feature not only a three-mile course, it will be a chip timed with instant time results, there will be tech shirts with a tank option for women, a complimentary glass of wine, live music at post race reception, food vendor options, awards for top overall and age category winners, souvenir wine glass for all participants, free downloadable photos, course marshals and a water stop, officials said.

Following the race runners will be able to partake in the wine, live music, awards, and food. All the runners will receive a souvenir wine glass, tech shirt, and glass of wine.

Good Day for a Run is helping Hopewell Valley Vineyards with the race, the organization is a Race Management Company focused on creating and managing fun and exciting experiences for its participants, according to officials.
