Learn about New Jersey’s vintage treasures at the Old Bridge Library in June

Residents will have the opportunity to explore New Jersey’s vintage treasures, test their classic rock trivia knowledge, and learn about a largely-forgotten World War I tragedy during programs at the Old Bridge Public Library in June. All programs are free and open to the public.

Retro Roadmap with Mod Betty will be held at 2 p.m. on June 1. The program will explore all the vintage treasures the Garden State has to offer.

Explosion at Morgan will be held at 1:30 p.m. on June 9. While WWI raged in Europe, America scrambled to supply the Allies with ammunition, and several munitions plants were constructed near the Jersey Shore. The hastily-built and inferior plants caused tragedy on the night of Oct. 4, 1918, when a series of explosions killed 100 people.

Adult Trivia Night will be held at 7 p.m. on June 11.

The Old Bridge Public Library is located at 1 Old Bridge Plaza at the corner of Route 516 and Cottrell Road in the Municipal Center. For more information, visit www.oldbridgelibrary.org or call 732-721-5600 ext. 5033.
