Wilkes University, Wilkes-Barre, Pa., has awarded degrees to the following area residents: Erin Hickman of Jackson, Bachelor of Arts in political science, and Nicholas Poyer of Howell, Bachelor of Science in accounting.

Kutztown University, Kutztown, Pa., has named the following residents of Howell to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester: Brandon M Downey and Amanda Ferraro.

Sara Major of Howell was one of the 2019 graduates from New York Institute of Technology’s physician assistant (PA) studies program who were welcomed into the profession with a white coat ceremony. The white coat ceremony is a rite of passage celebrating the completion of a student’s training as he or she graduates and goes on to pursue a career as a PA.

Peter Baker of Howell has been named to the Southern New Hampshire University, Manchester, N.H., winter 2019 president’s list. The winter term runs from January to May.

Genna Pesce of Howell has graduated from Clemson University, Clemson, S.C., with a Bachelor of Science in food science and human nutrition.

Christina A. Weber of Howell has earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing from Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, Pa., a special mission affiliate of Penn State University. Christina was named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester.

George S. Fossetta of Howell has earned a Bachelor of Science in building automation technology from Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, Pa., a special mission affiliate of Penn State University.

Neil J. Trainor of Farmingdale has earned a Bachelor of Science in applied management from Pennsylvania College of Technology, Williamsport, Pa., a special mission affiliate of Penn State University.

The University of New Hampshire, Durham, N.H., announced that Michael McGuinness of Howell graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication and Alexandra Besse of Jackson graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in human development and family studies.

Lindsey Walsh of Jackson, a senior English major, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester at Harding University, Searcy, Ark.

Two Jackson residents were honored at the New York Institute of Technology’s Occupational Therapy program in Old Westbury, N.Y. Deividas Jeskevicius was recognized with the Leadership Award in Occupational Therapy and inducted into the Occupational Therapy Alpha Eta Honor Society; and Chava Gruman was a member of the group that received the Occupational Therapy Research Award.

Jared B. Feldman of Howell has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental science from the University of Scranton, Pa.

York College of Pennsylvania has awarded degrees to two residents of Howell: Blayde Alcabes graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in professional writing, and Laura Guarillio graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in sport management.

Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa., has named the following area residents to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester: Kaylee Duggan of Jackson, Troy Egar of Howell, Jafer Hasani of Howell and Sianin Spaur of Howell.

Abigail R. Hamann, an elementary education major from Jackson, has been named to the dean’s list for the 2019 spring semester at Coastal Carolina University, Conway, S.C.

Robert Mahala of Jackson has been named to the dean’s list at Siena College, Loudonville, N.Y., for the 2019 spring semester.

Quinnipiac University, Hamden, Conn., has awarded degrees to Howell residents Lauren Maher, Bachelor of Science, health science studies, and Ashley Priante, Bachelor of Science, health science studies.
