The seventh annual Howell-Farmingdale 5K Run and Race Walk in memory of Walter Reitsma and all young people who lost their battle to addiction will be held at the Howell High School athletic complex, 405 Squankum-Yellowbrook Road, Howell. on Aug. 28.

The event will benefit CONTACT of Ocean and Monmouth Counties, a 24/7 crisis intervention and suicide prevention hotline. Professional race results will be provided by CompuScore.

Events include the 5K Run and Race Walk beginning at 6:15 p.m. The course loops around the high school grounds. All ages welcome. Awards to top male and female overall, plus age group awards for the 5K Run. Special pricing for individuals age 19 and under.
