North Brunswick Library expands homebound delivery service

Zoltan Braz, the new director of the North Brunswick Public Library, poses in front of the Art Pop! machine, which dispenses buttons made by North Brunswick art students, with proceeds benefitting the Senior Art Graduation Awards and the North Brunswick Public Library Foundation.

The North Brunswick Library is expanding its homebound delivery service for people who are unable to visit the library due to a temporary or permanent disability.

Patrons must first contact the library and fill out a homebound application form, which can be dropped off at their residence or can be picked up by a caretaker or family member. Once a patron is determined as requiring homebound delivery service, a library employee will create a library card, assess what types of books and media the person is specifically interested in, and arrange a schedule where materials are dropped off and picked up once a month.

There is no cost for this service and there are no overdue charges.

Any library materials, including books, DVDs, television series, music CDs and audiobooks, may be borrowed.
