East Brunswick will hold Fourth of July celebration with fireworks

The 2018 East Windsor Township Independence Day Celebration was held at Etra Lake Park on July 7. The event consisted of fireworks, live music performances, and food vendors for the locals to enjoy.

The Township of East Brunswick will hold a Fourth of July celebration and fireworks at 4 p.m. on July 4 at the Community Arts Center, 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick. Rain date is July 5.

Free admission, parking, giveaways, face painting and balloon twisting. Free inflatable rides and activities are sponsored by Built by Me Learning Center and Kensington Place.

There will be a watermelon eating contest sponsored by East Brunswick Stop&Shop, a wing eating contest sponsored by Hooters of East Brunswick and a cupcake eating contest sponsored by East Brunswick Department of Recreation and Parks.

Food trucks and vendors will be on site.

Entertainment kicks off at 5 p.m. with DJ Wacky Wayne. Then at 7:30 p.m., the band Amsterdam will take the stage.

At 9:30 p.m., fireworks are set to begin.

Bring chairs or blankets.

Parking will be available at the Community Arts Center and at Heavenly Farms.

No pets, alcohol or personal fireworks are permitted.
