Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce holds awards dinner

The Matawan-Aberdeen Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors held its annual “Installation and MAC Awards Dinner” at 5:30-8:30 p.m. on June 13 at MJ’s Buttonwood Manor, 845 Rt. 34.

There were MAC award recipients as well as a Special Recognition Award Certificate to the organization .

The Chamber MAC Award for Excellence in Community Service was
Aberdeen Economic Business Council Chairman Carmine Visone and Atrium Health and Senior Living of Matawan Executive Director Brian Long.
The Chamber MAC Award for Distinguished Business Person of the Year went to VerucaStyle Owner Alaina Acosta. The Chamber MAC Award for Service was given to Exp Realty Real Estate Agent Theresa Gibson.
The Chamber MAC Award President’s Special Recognition was presented to Creative Solutions LLC Owner Catherine Zavorskas. The Chamber MAC Award for Member of the Year was given to LoDrago Insurance Insurance Borker Brenda LoDrago.
The Chamber MAC Award Certificate of Special Recognition was given to ETT Women Foundation Co-Founders Lynette Barbieri and Vanessa Coppes.
New members that were nominated to the vacant board seats were installed by the mayors of Matawan and Aberdeen.
Chamber members that were chosen and installed onto the board of directors included VerucaStyle Owner Alaina Acosta, Matawan Adult Day Care Director of Communications Sarita Bhalla, Edward Jones Financial Advisor Erika Boyer, Exp Realty Real Estate Agent Theresa Gibson and The Geekery Comic Book Store Co-Owner Doug Preston.

Attorney Barbara Downs McNulty and Matawan-Aberdeen Public Library Director Kimberly Paone are going to be serving their second term on the board.
