In December, Sahil had an interview with the New Jersey Association of Student Councils. The current Executive Board slated Sahil to run unopposed for state representation, which meant that beginning in January, he represented not only South Brunswick but also students throughout the state as their voice on the state board.

Sahil was presented with an engraved pen on June 17 as a token of appreciation for his service to the board.

His successor will be Tabitha Mascobetto. Tabitha served as the underclassmen representative her first year on Student Council.

She is a member of the Wind Ensemble, the Marching Band, and she is a lawyer on the Mock Trial team. She is a member of the National Youth Advisory Council, which is a national program based on mobilizing youth in serving the community. She is bilingual in Spanish and English, and is currently learning Portuguese.
