The Metuchen Arts Council will present ArtCycle, an eco-friendly demonstration combining art and sustainability, from 2-5 p.m. on July 21 at the Metuchen Town Plaza, New and Pearl streets. Rain date is July 28.

The Live Art Demo will feature six handpicked artists from Metuchen creating art live from a mystery recycling bin. The audience can walk around and watch them create. The participating artists are Kim Adlerman, Mickey Waring Easton Davy, Ed Wetzel, Dave LaMorte and Joseph Castronova.

Approximately 20 artists and artisans from Metuchen and surrounding areas will sell arts and crafts made only from recycled materials.

Local musicians, including Danny and Jeremy, plus Zack Lefand and Ben Davis, will provide entertainment.

There will be a Kids ArtCycle Zone where children will be encouraged to create art with recycled material.

All the art created on the day of the event will be exhibited for a month at the new Westerhoff School Gallery. A separate reception will be held in honor of the artists.
