South Brunswick Library to celebrate 50th anniversary of Apollo 11 moon landing

Celebrate the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing at a party for all ages from 2-4 p.m. on July 20 at the South Brunswick Library, 110 Kingston Lane, Monmouth Junction section of South Brunswick.

On July 20, 1969, Apollo 11 was the first space mission that landed man on the moon. American astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin made history by taking those first steps on the lunar surface.

Mike Buttitta, NASA/JPL solar system ambassador and Endeavor Fellow, will discuss the latest in space exploration.

There will be light refreshments, a trivia contest and door prizes.

A showing of the 2019 movie “Apollo 11” will begin at 3 p.m. The film includes never-before-seen NASA footage of the mission and the moon landing.
