During the event, representatives of the alliance will present a short program and allow the community to come together to remember individuals who have been lost to addiction, according to a press release.

The alliance will have information about resources that can assist individuals who are still battling addiction, and other educational and informational resources focused on prevention.

In the press release, representatives of the alliance said they do not want to give in to stagnation on the issue. They said they want to mobilize a community-based effort to fight alcohol abuse and drug abuse and empower community members to be pre-emptive on the issue and to employ strategies and efforts to prevent alcohol abuse and drug abuse.

There is no cost for car show participants or spectators. Registration forms for car show participants are available on the Project Zero and township websites at www.projectzeromanalapan.org or www.mtnj.org, in the municipal building, or by calling the Manalapan Health Department at 732-446-8345.
