Manalapan warehouse application carried to board’s Aug. 22 meeting

MANALAPAN – At the request of the applicant, the public hearing on an application that proposes the construction of two warehouses on Route 33 has been carried from the Aug. 8 meeting of the Manalapan Planning Board to the panel’s Aug. 22 meeting.

The Planning Board issued a notice on July 31 advising the community of the two-week delay in the resumption of the public hearing.

Countryside Developers Inc. and developer Terry Sherman have proposed building the Manalapan Logistics Center on an 86-acre parcel on the eastbound side of Route 33, approximately across from the Four Seasons at Manalapan adult community.

The rear of the tract is separated by a natural buffer from a residential street, Gramercy Lane.

The property is in Manalapan’s Special Economic Development zone. Countryside Developers is seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval to remove existing structures on the site and to construct two warehouse distribution buildings. Access to the site would be from Route 33.

Building A would total 313,875 square feet and include 13,000 square feet of office space, and Building B would total 302,250 square feet and include 15,000 square feet of office space, Sherman testified during a previous board meeting.

Documents in connection with the Manalapan Logistics Center application are available for review in the Planning Office at the municipal building during regular business hours, according to the notice.
