The YMCA of Metuchen, Edison, Woodbridge and South Amboy (MEWSA) offers programs to school-age children throughout Avenel, Colonia, Edison, Fords, Iselin, Metuchen, Sayreville, Sewaren, South Amboy and Woodbridge to keep youth active, busy and engaged during out-of-school time.

In the Y’s afterschool programs, youth engage in physical activities, learning opportunities and imaginative programs; have the opportunity to begin their homework, participate in STEM activities and join in a variety of programmatic and activity options to explore and develop their interests and talents; and are exposed to HEPA (Healthy Eating and Physical Activity) habits.
