Parsons Elementary School in North Brunswick held Family Coding Night on Dec. 5 as its Hour of Code event, part of the nationwide Computer Science Education Week. Families were invited to try coding puzzles together in order to demystify code and show that anyone can learn the basics.

Code Ninjas of Old Bridge will hold its grand opening from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 17 at its new location, 3873 Route 516, Old Bridge.

The coding center for children ages 7-14 offers lessons in coding, mathematics, logic and teamwork.

There will be refreshments, raffle prizes and a visit by Davey’s Ice Cream Truck.
