HOLMDEL – Residents will have to decide between seven candidates to determine who will serve on the Holmdel Township Board of Education at the Nov. 5 general election.

There will be three three-year terms up for grabs on election day. The seats of Lori Ammirati, Michael Sockol and Chiung-Yin Liu expire in December.

Ammirati and Sockol are running for re-election. Liu is not running for re-election due to her being a Republican candidate for Holmdel Township Committee along with Mayor Eric Hinds.

Ammirati and Sockol will run against Joseph Hammer, Jaimie Hynes, Rocco Impreveduto, John Martinez and Elizabeth Urbanski for the three seats on the board.
