East Brunswick Library ‘serves up’ the history of liquor

Historian Greg Caggiano will discuss the history of liquor at 7 p.m. Sept. 10 at the East Brunswick Library, 2 Civic Center Dr.

Caggiano will chronicle adult beverages. Particular focus will examine the Prohibition Era, the Absinthe scare of the 20th century, and why there are so many different types of whiskey on the market.

Caggiano is a published author, historian and lecturer. He is also an instructor at Brookdale Community College in the Lifelong Learning Department, offering courses in American history, Prohibition and the Jersey Shore, and maritime history.
