New Jersey Gov. Phil Murphy visited Middlesex County College on Aug. 15 to speak with students about the Community College Opportunity Grant. The grant pays tuition and fees for those students with an adjusted gross income of $65,000 a year or less.

He toured the college’s enrollment center in West Hall and spoke with Angelo Abreu, assistant director of Enrollment Services; Academic Advisor C.J. Mooney; Financial Aid Director Christopher Rodriguez; and students Zaniah Brown, Nicole Early and Ellahenah Oneal, who have benefited from the program.

With the fall semester beginning Sept. 3, students have until Sept. 15 to apply for financial aid to be eligible for the program. For more information, visit middlesexcc.edu/freecc.
