Holiday Express clambake to honor Mike and Maryanne Cohen

The 12th annual Holiday Express Sunset Benefit Clambake will be held on Sept. 15 from 4 to 9 p.m. on the beach at McLoone’s Pier House in Long Branch.

McLoone’s Pier House is located at 1 Ocean Ave.

This year’s event will honor Mike and Maryanne Cohen, owners of CWR Electronics in Bayville. The cost to attend is $275 per guest. Ticket price includes a premium open bar and a lavish buffet including lobster, filet and raw bar.

“Holiday Express is delighted to honor Mike and Maryanne Cohen at the 2019 Sunset Benefit Clambake. Mike and Maryanne have been longtime supporters of Holiday Express and share a passion for our mission to deliver the gift of human kindness,” said Holiday Express Executive Director, Lorrie Klaric.

“We appreciate their extraordinary dedication and support which enables us to serve so many men, women and children in our community during the holiday season,” Klaric said.

There will be a live and silent auction with items donated by individuals and companies, including tickets to area sporting events, designer clothing and jewelry, vacation destinations, and dinner package, according to the organization.

Dress attire is casual and the Holiday Express Band will provide entertainment.

This year, Holiday Express will be visiting 100 locations during the holiday season. Proceeds from the Clambake will improve the quality of life for the 27,000 adults and children being served by Holiday Express during the 2019 holiday season, according to the organization.

Holiday Express visits the mentally and physically challenged, the isolated, individuals in addiction and recovery programs, the poor and the homeless and children with serious illnesses, according to the organization.
